GENERAL

  • Items ordered from the Shop are meticulously packed and dispatched from our studio within three working days.

    Customised items from the Shop* generally take three working days to be despatched but can be up to five working days during very busy periods.

    *not applicable for custom wedding stationery orders.

  • Letterpress is one of the oldest printing methods, and in our humble opinion, remains the finest.

    This antique process has been modernised somewhat from the original use of ‘type’ - where individual letters and characters were set to form words - to use metal plates etched directly from PDF artworks.

    Using Pantone inks, each colour and each sheet are printed one at a time.

  • Foiling is a pressure process that prints using a reel of lightweight coloured material. It is most commonly associated with metallic finishes but we also use it with more modern shades like black and midnight blue.

    Like letterpress, a metal plate is etched directly from the digital PDF file, and applied to the card with a huge amount of pressure.

    Whatsmore, foil sheets are so very thin that they can be recycled along with the card itself.

WEDDING + EVENT STATIONERY

  • Our wedding stationery products have been designed to allow absolute personalisation. From ink colours to wording style, you can select a combination to suit your celebration.

    Each collection piece is sold individually to enable you to mix-and-match items required for your wedding. Whether it’s an intimate gathering requiring just 20 invitations or a three-day destination celebration for 200 guests.

    Once you have placed your order, our team will make contact within 48 working hours to confirm your stationery selections, furthermore send through forms to help collect your personalised wording, monogram initials and guest address data (where applicable).

  • As the wedding stationery collections are printed using letterpress and hot foil stamping methods - which are hand-fed antique processes using bespoke etched plates — a physical printed proof is just not possible.

    You will receive actual size PDFs as a proof for approval prior to any printing commences. We ask you to check these in detail — and print them out at full size — to ensure there are no inaccuracies. One round of text revisions are included. Further rounds of revisions are charged at £45.00, thus we urge you to take your time to ensure feedback is concise.

    Upon client sign-off Laidler & Laidler cannot be responsible for any erratums. Reprints will be charged at the full rate.

    To see both the quality of the stationery and your chosen ink colour in print, we highly recommend ordering a sample pack prior to placing your custom order. The value of one sample pack is refundable against your wedding stationery order.

  • We do our very best to ensure that our photographs are as true as possible to the actual items, however every computer screen has its own settings that are beyond our control.

    For custom orders we strongly recommend ordering a sample pack containing your preferred ink colour prior to placing your full order.

  • We understand this is such an exciting time and is usually one of the first steps in wedding planning. As such, we endeavour to make the ordering process as swift as possible.

    From the point of order, we will be in touch within 48 working hours to confirm your selections and issue forms to help you complete the customised wording.

    On return of the completed wording, you will receive PDF proofs of your wedding stationery items within five working days.

    Once the PDF proofs have been approved by you, print production can begin and you can expect to receive your beautiful wedding stationery in approximately 10 business days.

  • We offer free delivery for our custom wedding stationery orders to UK addresses. This is a signed-for service and for the majority of UK addresses is a next-day delivery.

    International orders are shipped using a signed-for service. Transit time is dependent on the country but is commonly within seven working days worldwide. Kindly note that local customs may apply and are payable by the customer on receipt.

    Our invitation sample packs are generally dispatched from the Studio within two working days via a tracked two-four working day service. A next-day delivery service is available if preferred at the checkout stage.

  • Yes, the on-the-day items for each collection are available and feature Menus, Place and Escort Cards, Table Plans, Table Numbers, Service Booklets and Thank You cards.
